University-Wide Support

LSU is committed to excellence across the spectrum, offering curricula of the highest quality at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in the arts, humanities, business, law, agriculture, military sciences, and sciences. The campaign will help to enhance existing programs, as well as initiate and support new and exciting academic opportunities both on campus and in locations around the globe.

University-wide support can be as specific as creating an endowment that will assist a dean with projects that state funding cannot. For example, a dean may require discretionary seed money for faculty initiatives and recruitment efforts for the college or a particular academic program. Areas that serve large interests, such as the Division of Student Life & Academic Services, LSU Libraries, LSU Museums, wellness and recreation programs, and visual and performing arts programs, need support aimed at broad audiences to fulfill campus-wide needs. Both endowed and direct gift opportunities exist in every department at LSU.
