College of Agriculture
LSU’s College of Agriculture remains focused on one of the leading industries in the state, yet it also explores the relationships between agriculture and science, technology, medicine, education, and beyond. Today, the college and its 13 units offer 11 undergraduate programs, 16 master’s programs, and a dozen doctoral programs in an array of fields. These curricula provide students with the education and experience needed for careers in environmental management, apparel merchandising, nutritional sciences, and more.
Funds generated from this campaign will help to advance the National Flagship Agenda by assisting the College of Agriculture as it strives to:
- Recruit and retain a diverse student body of the highest quality;
- Alleviate the financial hardship college poses by offering more need-based scholarships;
- Reward and encourage faculty research with more endowed professorships and chairs;
- Enrich the learning experience by providing the latest technology, ample on- and off-campus resources, and opportunities for off-campus learning;
- Fuel the Louisiana economy by creating a knowledgeable, prepared workforce and providing valuable research and resources to professionals and citizens.
