Educators, researchers, and students at the LSU College of Engineering have worked to make our world safer, more enjoyable, more efficient, and more sustainable. Now we must look to the future and take action to keep pace with advancements in industry and technology, to compete with peer institutions, and to advance our position of national prominence.
Funds generated from this campaign will help to advance the National Flagship Agenda by assisting the College of Engineering as we strives to:
- Increase scholarship support to recruit and retain undergraduate students;
- Increase the number of graduate assistantships and fellowships to recruit outstanding graduate students;
- Recruit and retain exemplary faculty by providing start-up funds and summer stipends;
- To target and recruit eminent scholars in strategic academic areas by establishing additional named chairs;
- Provide ongoing funding for maintaining and modernizing infrastructure systems that will complement academic progress;
- Construct a state-of-the-art facility that transforms chemical engineering education at LSU.
