School of Social Work
The LSU School of Social Work prepares social work practitioners, researchers, educators, and policy advocates to meet the needs of diverse people and communities. We dedicate ourselves to the task of providing our constituents with the knowledge they need to improve and advance professional practice. Our mission of knowledge development and dissemination, advocacy, and service reflects a commitment to our core values of social and economic justice, respect for the dignity and worth of each individual, and the centrality of human relationships to well-being.
Funds generated from this campaign will help to advance the National Flagship Agenda by assisting the LSU School of Social Work as it strives to:
- Provide more student scholarships and thus recruit the best and brightest students;
- Endow faculty professorships;
- Improve and expand distance education and other outreach and research projects;
- Embark on new service projects and maintain and expand faculty initiatives.
