Louisiana State University launches its campaign to raise private funds

Week-long Kickoff of Forever LSU: The Campaign for Louisiana State University held across the country

BATON ROUGE – LSU will begin its landmark journey to raise private funds to increase the university’s endowment with Forever LSU: The Campaign for Louisiana State University.

LSU will hold opening celebrations during the week of June 19-23, in four cities across the United States, including New York; Washington, D.C.; Houston; and Baton Rouge, La. These cities were chosen due to the large concentration of alumni located in their areas. Prominent alumni and representatives from LSU and the LSU Foundation will attend each of the events .

All three LSU foundations – the LSU Foundation, Tiger Athletic Foundation and the LSU Alumni Association – in coordination with the LSU AgCenter and LSU Law School, have locked arms to carry out to the campaign. The campaign will aid in the university’s plans of becoming an increasingly nationally competitive university through improvements made in faculty and student recruitment, infrastructure and general university-wide support.

All media are invited to attend the campaign’s kickoff events. Each will feature a reception, followed by a program and entertainment. The events’ information is included below.
