The Forever LSU Student Video Contest

Forever LSU: The Campaign for Louisiana State University is looking for an original video from you to let your fellow students know how they can help contribute to the future of LSU.

As you may know, Forever LSU’s mission is to make your future alma mater one of the most dynamic, innovative, and highly ranked universities in America. In the spring, students will be given the opportunity to join the thousands of alumni who have given to Forever LSU and launch a student fundraising drive targeted for student initiatives such as:

• Student Academic Support Initiative, which funds peer leaders in the Center for Academic Success;
• Student Leadership Development Award, which awards a variety of student leaders for outstanding service to campus in multiple capacities; and
• Funding numerous student scholarships.

The Contest

This is where you come in. We need your help in creating a two (2) to three (3) minute video using an iPhone, iPod Nano with video, Flip Mino, etc. that lets your fellow students know the ways they can contribute to Forever LSU. All submissions that meet requirements (see “Rules”) will be judged by a panel consisting of students, faculty, and staff members. The submissions will also be featured on the LSU YouTube page. The Top Three video finalists will receive mentoring from Emmy^® Award-winning producer, director and LSU alum Robert Zimmerman. Check out his Web site @ www.piranhapictures.com. Then, they will get access to high-tech equipment to reshoot and edit your original video down to one minute and be entered to win great prizes (see “Prizes”).
